ITU MIAM Gallery was established to host the research and presentation processes of spatial sound applications, experimental performances, installation projects and interdisciplinary exhibitions. The gallery became operational in 2018 by re-functioning the Chemistry Laboratory of the former Faculty of Mining, located in the historical Armory Building, while preserving its spatial characteristics bearing the traces of the modern architectural period. Offering rich opportunities for sound and space experiments with its asymmetrical and vertically diverse architecture, the gallery makes a valuable contribution to MIAM studios and performance areas. So far, the gallery has hosted events such as Dystopia Sound Arts Festival (2019), NFT festival, One Performance and Something Performance/Exhibition Event (2023).
