MIAM Dr. Erol Üçer Music Library was founded in May 2000. The ever-expanding library collection consists of over 10000 books, over 7000 scores and over 18000 aural and visual materials (CDs, DVDs etc.). In addition to that, the library has access to numerous databases and electronic sources (JSTOR, Grove Music Online, International Index to Music Periodicals, Alexander Street etc.) which are essential for music researchers. The vast diversity of the library bibliography caters for the scientific needs of our graduate students and researchers who study in our various programs. The library has 6 desktop computers and 8 CD/Cassette players which are available for the usage of students and researchers. Substantial amount of enrichment and diversity has been achieved through private and institutional donations that have been made since the library’s foundation till today. In particular, after The Borusan Music Library closed down, the transfer of its contents to MIAM has enhanced the Library even more.
