Assoc. Prof. Can Karadogan
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1975, Can Karadogan completed his B.Sc. at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and his M.Sc. at Technische Universitaet Hamburg-Harburg, Germany on Information & Communication Systems. He completed his doctoral studies in sound engineering and design at ITU’s Dr. Erol Üçer Center for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) where he worked as a researcher between 2005 and 2011 focusing on the MIAM recording studio. He earned the assistant professor (yardimci docent) title at the Turkish State Music Conservatory (TMDK) at 2011. He is the head of the Music Technology Department and board member of the conservatory. Can is teaching both at MIAM and at TMDK courses on sound engineering & design. He has been involved in many recording projects in various genres as an engineer focusing on classical, Turkish music (TSM) and jazz. He produces his own music as a singer-songwriter as well.
