AHMET OZAN BAYSAL
Ahmet Ozan Baysal, who particularly specialized on baglama performance and selpe techniques, received his bachelor’s degree in the first position from Selcuk University – Music Education Faculty in 2010 and his ethnomusicology music master degree from Istanbul Technical University – Music Department (MIAM) in 2013. He continues his PhD studies on baglama performance in the same center. He is a research assistant in Istanbul Technical University – MIAM since 2014. He is giving many national/international concerts and being invited to various music festivals and academic workshops as baglama performer/artist during his educational/artistic career in Istanbul. He studied on advanced baglama performance techniques with Prof. Erol Parlak, classical harmony and counterpoint with Azeri music theorist Assoc. Prof. Aynur Elhan Nayir, jazz harmony with Emin Findikoglu, and orchestration techniques with Prof. Afaq Caferova and Assoc. Prof. Eray Altinbuken.
